This shampoo is clean, silky smooth, balances natural oil production and heals your head and strands. It is dual purposed as it is Shampoo & Conditioner. Conditioners have been found to actually be the culprit to split ends an/or breakage. I believe this is due to just over use of products and natural oil imbalance. Our hair doesn’t need a bunch of conditioning, just gentle washing with the right ingredients from nature and then let nature condition her beautiful strands herself.

Most shampoo bars struggle to give your hair the balance and shine it needs-most require an acid rinse such as vinegar to restore shine, softness and balance pH….not a bad thing! But can be inconvenient and is also not something everyone can benefit from!

I have always struggled to find a shampoo that does my hair good. I have tried a number of different shampoos that were suppose to help but only did more harm than good. Water source also plays a huge role in the type of shampoo you use…..while a shampoo may work wonders on your hair it might not if you have hard water or health issues or heavily damaged or you are going through different seasons of age. While health and wellness affects the beauty of your strands by a lot, so does how you care for your hair and what you’re putting on it. I created this to check all the boxes I was looking for. I chose the following ingredients specifically and thoughtfully:

  • Fermented Rice Water helps repair damaged hair and to prevent split ends. It also helps to give your hair & scalp a nourishing cleanse to encourage overall hair length & density. helps to replenish the necessary proteins and keratin in your hair, thus helping you to increase the growth rate of your hair. It also helps reduce hair fall, due to the added protein boost your hair receives, making it more flexible and stronger. Rice protein is incredible and has countless benefits.

  • Wheat Protein provides lubricity to help protect hair from styling damage while giving the hair a glossy, shiny appearance. hydrolyzed wheat is beneficial for the scalp and encourages strength and elasticity of each strand. At the same time, the nourishing vitamin E and lecithin act as building blocks to make your hair strong and look healthy. The essential fatty acids of hydrolyzed wheat are said to help to strengthen the hair's root and follicle. Also, for those gluten intolerant, hydrolyzed wheat protein is gluten free! The process in which this is created removes all gluten properties.

  • Cocoa Butter boosts shine in dull, dry hair, hydrating and sealing the hair strands. It is also known to thicken and protect the hair strand which aids in a number of hair structural issues. Cocoa Butter has become a trusted hair repair aid.

  • Coconut Oil easily absorbs, cleanses and moisturizes all at the same time. It is a queen oil in my humble opinion and is my go to fix all! It encourages hair growth, nourishes the scalp and helps to balance natural oil production while breaking down build up of sebum. Because of its quick absorbing properties it penetrates deep into the hair shaft to prevent protein loss.

  • Cedarwood oil helps to cleanse, rebalance the natural oils in your hair, and combat fungal or bacterial infections.

  • Rosemary oil has a number of benefits to your hair. It can enhance the growth of hair, it is ant-fungal which aids in calming itchy scalps produced by dandruff, and improves circulation. Researchers have found that rosemary oil has the ability to thicken hair significantly which helps to encourage volume to your hair. It also softens aging hair strands aka, grey/silver hair.

While these are just some of the star ingredients, this bar is packed full of nutrients and I wanted to give you something that your pretty little head would benefit from!

Sea Moss: Benefits are endless to the beautiful substance, it is a natural conditioner that can help to soften and moisturize the hair. It can also help to detangle the hair, making it easier to comb and style. Its incredible at strengthening due to it being rich in amino acids and proteins, which can help to strengthen hair and reduce breakage.

Bamboo extract: Bamboo extract stimulates blood circulation in the scalp, strengthening hair follicles and fostering the formation of a thicker mane, and is known for its scalp-soothing effects. This plant extract also contains antioxidant and anti-irritant qualities, which help in promoting hair growth.

Ingredients: All natural gentle essence blend of: Cedarwood, rosemary, peppermint, ylang ylang. All natural proprietary cleaning blend of: [Sodium Cocoyl Isethehionate, decyl Glucoside, Coco butter, coconut oil, Vegetable Glycerin, Coca-Betaine, coconut Cetearyl Alcohol], citric acid, balanced Protein blend of Fermented Rice Water & Hydrolyzed Wheat.

A few ingredients you may struggle to pronounce! I want to explain them and

Sodium Cocoyl Isethehionate is a natural ingredient that is derived from coconuts, specifically coconut oil. The process includes mixing a natural sulfonic acid called isethionic acid with the fatty acids that naturally occur in coconut oil. The mixture is then heated to remove extra water as well as distilled to remove any unnecessary fatty acids. Much like coconut oil, sodium cocoyl isethionate provides incredibly moisturizing properties, especially when compared to other surfactants with similar cleansing and foaming properties. This powerful ingredient is common in many soaps and cleansers as it effectively washes away dirt and oil without leading to dryness or irritation.

Decyl Glucoside is a fatty sugar derived from coconuts and is a non-ionic surfactant, categorized in the family of Alkyl Polyglucosides. It helps in hydrating the skin and helps in preventing the drying of the skin. it is plant-derived, biodegradable, and gentle for all hair types.

Coca-Betaine A derivative of cocamide and glycine betaine. It’s made from coconut oil and beets. Although, it is often said that coco-betaine is interchangeable with cocamidopropyl betaine, this is not the case: the two have different structures. It gives a nice silky lather and gently removes dirt without destroying the hair shaft and is super gentle on skin. On top of that, its pH range contributes a mild germicidal effect, which also makes it an effective, yet mild, cleansing agent.

Cetearyl Alcohol is a fatty alcohol derived from coconut. However, some are produced with animal fat-I am not against this but I wanted to create something that anyone could use and benefit from. I am also a huge fan of coconut so I made sure it was specifically derived from coconut alone. Unlike “alcohol” or “ethanol” which are extremely drying, Cetearyl Alcohol is hydrating, moisturizing and smoothening. It helps to soften the hair and provide ‘slip’ to help detangle hair better! This is why I chose this specific ingredient.
